In addition to comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, the practice offers individual therapy for children and adolescents and short-term consultation for parents and schools. Both services are led personally by Dr. Bird and grounded in the same strengths-based, naturalistic approach as the rest of the practice.

Child & Adolescent Therapy

Support your child’s emotional growth with care and clarity.

Therapy provides a safe, supportive space for your child or teen to explore emotions, build coping skills, and feel more confident in themselves. Sessions are warm, collaborative, and evidence-based, drawing from CBT, DBT, and trauma-informed practices tailored to your child’s age and developmental stage.

We help with:
  • Anxiety, perfectionism, and self-esteem

  • Emotional regulation and behavior struggles

  • Friendship issues and social stress

  • Academic burnout or avoidance

  • Life changes, loss, or identity development

Parent & School Consultation

Collaborative support that bridges home, therapy, and school.

Sometimes the best support comes from strengthening the systems around a child. We offer short-term consultation to parents, caregivers, and school teams to create aligned, sustainable strategies that help kids thrive.

This service is ideal for:
  • Navigating school supports (IEPs, 504s, SSTs)

  • Advocating for accommodations

  • Developing behavior plans or emotional safety plans

  • Supporting school reentry after a mental health crisis

  • Understanding your child’s assessment results in context

  • Developing and restructuring school policies and procedures for student support (Referrals, Discipline, etc)

Begin a confidential inquiry.

If you’d like to talk, the next step is a brief, no-cost consultation call. The conversation is held in confidence, with no obligation.
